Join us as a Playnotes Music Leader and use your musical talents to lead morning 30-minute Playnotes Music sessions for children ranging from young toddlers to PreK at local childcare centers. This is your chance to use your love for music to truly make a difference in the lives of children!


REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal Music Leader MUST meet the following criteria:

  • A dedication to support young children

  • Confident musicianship skills with voice, as well as proficiency in guitar, piano, or ukulele

  • Outgoing and positive personality

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Reliable transportation

Compensation Structure for Playnotes Music Leaders

Playnotes Music Leader Rate: $20.00 to 30.00 per hour.

This rate applies to the following responsibilities, including:

  • Leading Sessions: After completing the onboarding process, you will be responsible for leading the Playnotes music sessions at our teaming centers using the Playnotes Musical Pathway Guide. Depending on the size of the center, you may conduct between 1 and 5 sessions, each lasting 30 minutes.This rate applies when you are leading a Playnotes music session independently, after completing the onboarding process.

Additional Task Support Rate: $13.50 to $17.50 per hour

This rate applies to the following additional tasks and responsibilities, including:

  • Onboarding: Includes orientation, familiarization with Playnotes documents, observation sessions by Playnotes team members, and transitioning to leading sessions independently.

  • Practice: Paid practice time of 1 hour per new session plan from the Playnotes Musical Pathway.

  • Communication: 1 hour of paid time each month for email and phone communication related to Playnotes responsibilities.

  • Meetings: Attendance at meetings with supervisor and the virtual monthly employee meeting.

Training: We ensure our Music Leaders are confident and comfortable within their Playnotes Music Sessions through comprehensive online and in-person training, including our Playnotes Musical Pathway guide.

Ongoing Feedback and Growth Opportunities: As a growing business, we are always looking for passionate and reliable team members to help us fulfill our mission and grow with us as a company.

Materials, Instruments, and Session Plans: We provide all necessary materials and instruments for Playnotes Music sessions, which are compact and can easily fit in the trunk of a car or large bag. Our Playnotes Musical Pathway Guide will equip the Playnotes Music Leader with the music, instruments, session guides, and resources needed to support Playnotes' mission of using music to offer support, empowerment, and growth.
